BRIEF

Target new and existing clients with aspirational travel content via email and social ahead of the winter holiday season with the goal of boosting registrations while folks gathered for the holidays.

WHAT I DID

As we transitioned marketing objectives, I designed and curated our email and social campaigns for the launch of several Global Adventures trips.

RESULT

In the first three months, after these events launched, sales grossed $95,000. Over 40,000 people saw the initial campaign on social media and roughly 200,000 people received a series of emails marketing the events. The emails had an average open rate of 47% and CTR of 2.7%.

After continued nurturing, gross sales increased to over $300,000.

Promotional Content

Before these Global Adventures products went on sale, I put together a series of promotional videos and posts to entice consumers.

Because the trips had now happened yet, we were in short supply of owned photos and video, and had to lean on stock B-roll and images for most of the content. Still, we were able to show what it is like to attend a Global Adventure.

Emphasis on Imagery

With desirable destinations at the forefront of Global Adventures, I worked with our Brand Manager to select enticing images showing off the sights that our travelers may see during the trips.

When the launch was several weeks away, we relied on images only to convey the feel of the trips. As we approached launch day, overlaid text on the images got more specific. The image to the right shows the final format that was presented on social media when products went live.
